The Latvian Smartlynx Group intends to fleet the Boeing 737 Max in the coming year. The planes are to be obtained from lessors. So far, the mold group has relied on models from competitor Airbus for short and medium-haul routes.

Smartlynx has obviously decided to switch to a Boeing 737 Max in the medium term. We are currently looking for examiners for this pattern. It is planned that the medium-haul jets from the US manufacturer will initially be used on the Latvian AOC. An exact date for the first flight has not yet been set.

First of all, the prerequisites have to be created. Specifically, this means, among other things, that appropriate training personnel with Boeing experience have to be brought in. In a further step you will then begin with the training of the pilots and / or employ pilots with Max-TR.
