The Czech airline Smartwings flies in the 2022/23 winter timetable for around eight weeks on behalf of the Emirates sister company FlyDubai. The Boeing 737-800 will be used on some routes from Dubai.

From November 17, 2022, Smartwings will fly for FlyDubai on routes to Chittagong, Colombo, Karachi, Multan, Muscat and Sialkot. In the direction of Europe, the leased aircraft of the type Boeing 737-800 is used to Kraków, Sofia, Zagreb, Ljubljana and Prague, among others. If necessary, the machines will be exchanged in the Czech capital.

For the time being, the wet lease application is limited to January 16, 2023. There is a possibility of an extension, since the two companies have agreed on a corresponding option. The fleet of low-cost airline FlyDubai currently consists of 32 Boeing 737-800, three B737-Max-9 and 33 B737-Max-8. Furthermore, one waits for the delivery of 50 B737-Max-10 and 100 B737-Max-8.

Czech Smartwings currently operates two Boeing 737-700, seven B737-Max-8, 21 B737-800 and two B737-900ER. One Boeing 737-800 each is registered on the AOCs of the subsidiaries in Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. The offshoots have further machines, which are operated by the Czech parent company, in the wet lease.
