The IAG long-haul brand Level plans to expand its US service from Barcelona in the summer flight schedule of 2022. The flights will continue to be operated by the sister company Iberia, as Level itself does not have an AOC.

Los Angeles, which was last in the program in 2018, is to be reactivated with four weekly rounds. The New York-JFK destination will be increased from the current three circuits to daily. San Francisco and Boston are to get an additional rotation per week and then be served four times a week.

The International Airlines Group currently only uses the Level brand in Barcelona. The Austrian Level Europe, which was active in Vienna and Amsterdam, had to file for bankruptcy in the previous year. OpenSkies, which flew from Paris-Orly, was disbanded. Both carriers suffered considerable losses under the level fire.
