The Greek airline Aegean Airlines intends to connect the Slovenian airport of Ljubljana with Athens in the summer of 2023. The new route is scheduled to start on June 6, 2023 with Airbus A320.

Two weekly circulations are currently planned. These are to be served on Tuesdays and Fridays. Aegean Airlines last had this route in its route network in 2016. After only one summer period, however, the connection was abandoned.

From June 7, 2023, the Greek carrier wants to offer non-stop flights between Athens and Split again. This route has been paused since the outbreak of the corona pandemic. One wants to serve the connection on the traffic days Wednesday and Sunday. Aegean Airlines will be in direct competition with Croatia Airlines.
