On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates, Golf Carrier Emirates has given some Airbus A380s and Boeing 777-300ERs a special sticker. The A6-EVG completed its “first flight” to Frankfurt am Main.
Emirates has been connecting Germany with the United Arab Emirates for almost 35 years and thus for most of the country's existence on the Arabian Gulf. The name of the airline is placed in the anniversary lettering in such a way that it also completes the name of the country. Emirates carries the flag of the nation and with it its ambitions, values, the inspiring success story in every corner of its route network and thus underlines its affiliation to the UAE. Like the home and hub of Emirates, the airline has developed and established itself internationally in a relatively short period of time. The livery also celebrates the strength and resilience of the UAE's aviation industry, which connects the world and brings people, businesses and economies together.
: “The aircraft with special paint for the Golden Jubilee are inspired by the vision, determination and passion of the founding fathers of the United Arab Emirates and the journey they have made over the past 50 years. They have shaped a nation that has captivated the world - from its rapid rise to one of the most connected countries in the world to one of the few nations to have launched a space mission. The next 50 years will be driven by the same ambition to create a better and more sustainable future for humanity. The UAE will play a leading role in developing its national capabilities, promoting innovation and strengthening its position as a progressive world leader in a wide range of areas, ”said Emirates Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
In the course of the next month, more aircraft will be given the anniversary paint scheme. The application of the lettering in the Emirates Engineering Aircraft Appearance Center takes an average of three days and requires up to 14 employees. The aircraft with the special paint scheme will be on display in the next few weeks in Los Angeles, London, Washington DC, New York, Munich, Zurich and Paris, among others.
