The Spanish airline Aura Airlines finally ceased flight operations at the end of 2022. The carrier, which belongs to the JMB Aviation Group, has not been in the air for a long time. The registrations of the aircraft were canceled by the Spanish civil aviation authority Aesa.

It was originally announced that the EC-NOZ and the EC-NMY would fly under a wet lease for the Chilean startup Chex Air. However, it didn't come to that. The first aircraft mentioned has been parked in Tunis since October 27, 2022. This machine had already received Chex titles. The second Airbus A320 has been in Madrid since September 21, 2022.

The EC-NOE has been based in Cali since October 6, 2022. Aura Airlines is the sole passenger airline of the JMB Aviation Group. Other carriers belonging to the group are: Transcarga International Airways (Venezuela), Cargo Three (Panama), SkyWay Enterprises (USA) and Island Wings (USA). The carriers mentioned specialize in cargo flights. Aura Airlines did not comment on the reason for the cessation of flight operations. It is also unclear whether one is aiming for a new restart.
