Effective December 1, 2021, Spain will restrict the entry of people from the United Kingdom. Only passengers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 are allowed to enter from the UK.
So far, Spain has also accepted negative PCR results that were not allowed to be older than 72 hours. UK citizens and residents are primarily affected, but the order also applies to EU citizens traveling to Spain from the UK. Exception: Simply switching without leaving the terminal.
The omicron corona mutation is making European governments increasingly nervous. Entry requirements are being tightened again. In the Netherlands, passengers on two flights from southern Africa that landed before the ban had to wait longer to disembark. A total of 61 people tested positive for the corona virus and segregated in a hotel near Schiphol Airport. Shortly thereafter, other governments followed suit.
