Spain: Wamos Air wants to fly to Brazil

Advertising

The Spanish airline Wamos Air intends to operate charter flights to Brazil in the future. A corresponding application has already been submitted to the Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil. At the same time, the carrier wants to increase the Airbus A330 fleet.

Wamos Air has expressly not applied for route rights for scheduled flights between Spain and Brazil, but approval for charter flights. No further details have yet been given about the possible client. According to reports, it should be a well-known tour operator.

The airline has historically been primarily active in the charter and ACMI segments. In the course of the corona pandemic, passenger aircraft were increasingly used for the transport of freight. One is also active in the direction of the Caribbean on one's own account. The in-house tour operator Wamos Tours also offers package tours.
