Air Austral, based in the French overseas department of La Réunion, will once again receive a state-guaranteed loan of 20 million euros. This was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of France.

The government is now taking this provider under the wings for the third time. These are loans for which the state is at least partially liable. Initially, 120 million euros were awarded in the previous year. In this case, the government has only given a partial guarantee.

The state is fully liable for the loan of 30 million euros, which was transferred in April 2021. It is the same with those 20 million euros that are to flow shortly. In principle, it is planned that Air Austral will have to repay the aid loans.
