The Vienna City Card, which is popular with tourists, should become cheaper under certain circumstances. The city of Vienna promises that there will be a discount of between 20 and 50 percent.

The Vienna City Card has been enabling sustainable mobility for Vienna guests for 27 years now: from included travel on Vienna's public transport system in the entire zone 100 to an additional module for public transport from the airport. From April 1st, only those hotels that have been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel or a comparable, internationally recognized environmental certificate can become offer partners of the world's first certified "green" guest card. In addition, the Vienna City Card will in future offer at least a 20% discount on tours and in hotels as well as in the areas of music & theatre, leisure & sport, shopping as well as cuisine & nightlife. The city's official guest card can be purchased online, via the Vienna Tourist Board's "ivie" destination app, or in one of the two tourist information offices. Depending on the variant selected and the period of validity, it is available from 17 euros.
