The startup Lalona Air wants to start some routes from Düsseldorf in January 2022. From there they also want to fly to the Austrian city of Graz and would thus enter into direct competition with Austrian Airlines.

Other announced routes from the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia are: Friedrichshafen, Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden, Turin and Milan-Linate. The startup's target group are business travelers. However, much is still completely unclear, because the associated GmbH has not yet been entered in the commercial register.

The route network is to be expanded to a total of 2022 destinations from Düsseldorf in the course of 15. Turboprop aircraft of the type ATR72 were communicated as aircraft. However, no application for an AOC and operating license has been submitted to the Federal Aviation Office.
