The luxury cruise line Crystal is introducing a new culinary partnership with Italian chefs Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo on its Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony ships. The brothers, who together hold multiple Michelin stars, have created a new selection of exquisite dishes for the specialty restaurant Osteria d'Ovidio, designed to offer guests the ultimate in culinary enjoyment during their cruise.
The new menu, which will be introduced over the summer, bears the signature of Massimiliano Alajmo, the youngest ever three-Michelin-starred chef, his brother Raffaele, and his son Giovanni. It features three different menus featuring classic Italian cuisine from various regions, signature dishes from the Alajmo family's three-Michelin-starred restaurant Le Calandre, and reinterpreted Venetian specialties by Max Alajmo. Guests also have the option of dining à la carte.
Günter Lorenz, Vice President of Food & Beverage Operations at Crystal, emphasized the importance of this collaboration for the culinary offerings on board. The menus created by the Alajmo brothers reflect their wealth of experience while also fitting the exploratory nature of Crystal cruises. Each dish tells a unique story of passion, craftsmanship, and the finest ingredients, creating a unique culinary journey at sea. This partnership underscores Crystal's commitment to redefining luxury dining at sea and offering guests experiences comparable to those in fine dining on land.
