Storm in Eastern Austria: Eastern Region Transport Association introduces ticket recognition

Advertising

Due to severe storms and flooding in the eastern region of Austria, the Eastern Region Transport Association (VOR) is implementing a special regulation.

From September 17 to 22, 2024, mutual recognition of all network and house tariff tickets will apply on the routes affected by closures. This enables travelers to use alternative means of transport at no additional cost. Routes affected include those of the ÖBB, Wiener Linien, Wiener Lokalbahnen and other transport companies. This measure is intended to maintain public transport in the region despite the disruptions.
