A dispute over border openings leads to the expulsion of Montenegro Airlines in Serbia.

The Serbian government forbids Montenegro Airlines to land on Serbian soil. The trigger should be a previously published list. In it, Montenegro names nine countries with which it would like to reopen its borders from June 1st - including Croatia, Slovenia and Albania. Serbia is left out.

Just yesterday the airline announced the resumption of flight operations in the first half of June, like exyuaviation.com reported. The carrier has already been weakened by the Covid 19 pandemic, and political friction is least needed in the current situation. The Montenegrin ambassador in Belgrade is hoping for a swift lifting of the ban. According to him, the countries with which one aims to open the border are "not yet finally determined."
