South Africa: British Airways and Airlink launch codeshare collaboration

The insolvency of the South African airline Comair also meant that British Airways had to look for a new partner. The bankrupt carrier was a franchisee of the British airline.

They found what they were looking for at AirLink. Effective 15 February 2023, British Airways will place the BA code on nine of the new partner's Cape Town routes. The cooperation agreement includes 18 additional routes from Johannesburg.
