With the help of a so-called interline agreement, Golfcarrier Emirates wants to offer further connections in the south of Africa. To this end, a corresponding contract was signed with the regional airline Airlink.

“We are pleased to conclude the new interline agreement with Airlink. It helps us to strengthen our presence in southern Africa and to offer our customers more choice, flexibility and improved connections to 45 cities. The interline agreement is just the beginning of our further cooperation and we will examine further possibilities in the future to expand the scope of our partnership, ”said Emirates CEO Tim Clark.

The golf carrier's passengers now have access to 25 domestic destinations in South Africa and 20 other regional destinations. The luggage is checked through to the destination. Airlink's fleet consists of a total of 51 aircraft. There are eight BAe Jetstream 41s, one Embraer 135ER, 16 Embraer 135LR, 11 Embraer 140LR, three Embraer 170LR and 12 Embraer 190.

“We are proud and excited about our new interline agreement with Emirates. We have great respect for the airline, its values and global reach, and we are confident that our partnership will provide enhanced travel options for passengers connecting at OR Tambo International Airport and Cape Town International Airport, ”said Rodger Foster, Managing Director of Airlink .
