Lufthansa will expand the flight connection between Salzburg and Frankfurt am Main from summer 2025. The new arrangement provides for up to five flights a day, which will improve the connection to the international financial center Frankfurt and the global Lufthansa network.
Bettina Ganghofer, Managing Director of Salzburg Airport, stresses the importance of this connection for the regional economy and tourism. Frankfurt is considered one of the most important economic centers in Germany and offers direct connections to numerous international destinations. The increase in flights is seen as a valuable signal for Salzburg as a location, especially for the region's export-oriented industry, which relies on fast international connections.
The new flight times offer travelers improved flexibility and shorter transfer times in Frankfurt, which is particularly beneficial for business travelers. Air freight also benefits from the increased capacity, which enables faster transport.
