Zonguldak returns to the flight schedule of Dortmund Airport: In the coming summer season 2022, Sun Express will be heading for the Turkish Black Sea coast from Dortmund.

From June 30th, Zonguldak will be the third destination of the German-Turkish airline from Dortmund, alongside Izmir and Antalya - every Thursday the city on the Black Sea will be directly connected to Dortmund. The airline recently announced the resumption of the flight connection to Antalya, starting April 10th, the Turkish Riviera will be served four times a week from the Ruhr area airport. In addition, Sun Express is increasing the frequency of connections to Izmir. In the summer season 2022, the flights will no longer take place once, but three times a week.

“Two new goals, higher frequencies - that is a strong signal for the return of growth at Dortmund Airport. SunExpress flies to a sun-drenched coastal town that is historically closely connected to the Ruhr area and whose connection many people in the region have wished for. ", Comments Guido Miletic on the new route, Head of Airport Services and Marketing at Dortmund Airport. Zonguldak was last part of the flight schedule of Dortmund Airport in the summer season 2017 and was served by Germania at the time.
