Sun Express, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, remains the exclusive airline partner of Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt: the partnership agreement has been extended for a further three years.

The partnership between the airline and Eintracht Frankfurt has existed since the 2017/18 season. Highlights so far include the return flight from Berlin to Frankfurt after winning the 2018 DFB Cup final against Bayern Munich, charter flights for Eintracht fans during the 2018/19 Europa League season, a special livery chosen by the fans for the new SGE Express and most recently the Europa League title in Seville, where SunExpress flew the team to the final and back home.

"I am very pleased that we have extended our contract with Eintracht until the 2024/25 season. Our long-term partnership with the club underscores our focus on sport and the interests of all sports fans among our passengers,” says airline CEO Max Kownatzki. "In the first contract term, Eintracht won the DFB Cup, in the second the Europa League - I'm excited to see what else will happen between now and 2025! We are very pleased to continue to accompany Eintracht on their way to new successes and to be the team’s reliable and flexible airline partner.”
