The Stralsund district court has officially released the holiday airline Sundair from the protective shield proceedings. The self-administration was lifted and administrator Lucas Flöther was formally removed from office, as this activity will no longer be required in the future.

“The fact that the renovation succeeded as planned in just six months - and that in the middle of the corona pandemic - is largely thanks to our customers, suppliers and partners, who fully supported our renovation course. Above all, our employees also play a significant role. In difficult times, you were very committed to ensuring that our flight operations could be continued at all times, ”explains Sundair boss Marcos Rossello.

The holiday airline registered protective shield proceedings in October 2020. This is a special form in German insolvency law. With the help of this, Condor was able to reposition itself after the bankruptcy of the Thomas Cook Group. Sundair renegotiated leasing contracts and also exchanged the machines. The management sees the carrier reorganized financially and operationally.
