Sunexpress expands North Cyprus presence

The holiday airline SunExpress will offer a non-stop connection between Izmir and Ercan (Northern Cyprus) in the winter flight schedule 2023/24. This route will be served up to four times a week.

Due to a lack of international recognition, there are almost exclusively non-stop flights to Turkey offered by Turkish carriers. SunExpress is in direct competition with Pegasus on the newly announced route. According to the reservation system of the joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, Izmir-Ercan will initially be served with Boeing 29-2023 aircraft between October 2023, 24 and the end of the 737/800 winter flight schedule period.
