The Turkish holiday airline SunExpress will continue to rely on commissions for travel agents in 2021. This continues to deviate from the industry trend, because most airlines have not paid any commission to agencies for many years. They charge a booking fee themselves.

“We have bucked the trend in the past and have clearly positioned ourselves as a reliable partner for stationary sales with our remuneration model. Our agency partners can also count on us in the coming year, because cohesion in the industry is essential, especially now in times of the Corona crisis. We therefore support them with a lucrative graduated commission model that is unique in our market. Tried and tested things that our partners appreciate when working with us will of course remain in place, ”says Michael Schober, Senior Manager Direct Sales at SunExpress.

In a media broadcast, the airline emphasizes that the tariffs are the same in all sales channels and that travel agencies can also sell all campaign tickets. The commissions are paid out every six months. There are also fixed payments on all international connections to Anatolia and Izmir. The agency also receives a free ticket for a SunExpress flight for every EUR 50.000 in sales.

The Turkey offer is to be expanded in the summer of 2021: In the coming summer season, the travel agency partners can also look forward to a significantly expanded bookable Turkey offer: new Anatolia connections will be activated in the systems as early as mid-November. In addition, SunExpress guests from Germany will be able to enjoy attractive transfer connections to Tel Aviv, Beirut or Kiev via the airline's two hubs in Izmir and Antalya in the summer of 2021.
