The route had to be discontinued due to the pandemic, but Swiss is now returning with daily flights between Nuremberg and the Zurich hub.

From March 26, 2023, the largest airline in Switzerland will resume flight connections. This increases the number of international hub airports that can be reached from Nuremberg to seven. Destinations such as Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco as well as Sao Paulo, Johannesburg, Singapore, Dubai and Hong Kong are connected via the hub. Airbus A220 100/300 and Embraer E190-E2/195-E2 are used. The Swiss carrier transported more than 2019 passengers between Nuremberg and Zurich before the 230.000 pandemic.
