The airline Swiss continues to rely on ground handling by Swissport. The contract, which expired at the end of the year, was extended by seven years.

The service provider will therefore continue to handle passenger and aircraft handling for Swiss, Edelweiss, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines in Zurich, Geneva and Basel. “We look forward to continuing the longstanding partnership with Swissport in the years to come. Competent and smooth passenger care and ground handling is of central importance for our customers and us, and Swissport is an extremely reliable partner in this area for SWISS and other airlines in the Lufthansa Group, ”says Christoph Casparis, Head of Ground Operations at Swiss.
