After a successful test phase of the Smart Baggage service at Geneva Airport, the Swiss carrier is expanding its partnership with AirPortr to include Zurich Airport and offering the service throughout Switzerland.

The luggage service has been available to customers from Geneva Airport since October last year in a test phase. Travelers arriving or departing from Zurich Airport can now also use the service to have their luggage picked up and checked in or have it delivered to their home or hotel. The service can be www.swiss.com get booked. AirPortr service price is based on pickup and delivery location and ranges from
CHF 39.00 for two pieces of luggage in Zurich up to CHF 69.00 in areas further away from the airport.

Baggage will be picked up from home or accommodation up to 23 hours before departure – passengers only need to check in online. The boarding pass is checked upon collection, after which the luggage is sealed to ensure safe transport to the airport of departure, where it undergoes standard security checks. After landing, the suitcases are picked up as normal at the baggage carousel. This is to save time.

“Following the successful start of our partnership with AirPortr, we can now further enhance the travel experience for our guests. The demand for easy luggage transport to and from Geneva Airport has already shown that there is a great need for a simplified journey with less luggage. We are therefore very pleased to be able to offer this attractive service to all our passengers departing from Switzerland," says airline CC Tamur Goudarzi Pour.
