Due to the introduction of its new Premium Economy Class, the Lufthansa subsidiary is gradually replacing some of the Economy Class seats in its Boeing 777-300ER fleet with the new seating. In cooperation with the internet auction house Ricardo, surplus economy class three-seater seats including attractive additional prices will be auctioned off to the highest bidder over the next four weeks. Seats are personalized with a name badge upon purchase. All proceeds from this auction are donated by the Swiss airline to the Pigna Foundation in Kloten.
