On November 1, 2022, Swiss airline resumed the in-flight sale of duty-free items. This had been temporarily suspended since March 2020 due to the corona pandemic. What is new is that it is now also possible to pay with Miles&More miles.

Swiss International Air Lines is bringing back duty free shopping on November 1, 2022. After the offer was paused for around two and a half years as a result of the Corona pandemic, passengers on SWISS flights with a flight duration of 55 minutes or more now have the opportunity again to purchase tax-free premium products at greatly reduced prices. As a new feature, passengers on board can now also pay with Miles & More award miles. Alternatively, they have the option of redeeming a proportion of the Miles & More award miles for their purchases in combination with a credit card payment. The same applies to the payment for meals offered by SWISS Saveurs. In addition, Miles & More award miles will now be credited for purchases made on board with a credit card.

The newly designed Duty Free range focuses on the three main areas of travel essentials, sustainability and Swissness. In addition to premium classics such as watches and sunglasses, the range now includes a tin box with selected Swiss chocolate specialties, a deodorant packaged in a bioplastic tube made from sugar cane, and headphones for children – inspired by endangered animal species from all over the world.
