Swiss starts baggage collection in Switzerland

In cooperation with the startup AirPortr, Swiss offers a pick-up service for check-in luggage. This should cost between 39 and 59 francs, depending on where you live, and enable passengers to travel virtually without a suitcase.

The baggage must be picked up by the transfer service at least 23 hours before the scheduled departure. Swiss is currently the first airline to offer such a service in Switzerland. This will soon be extended to other airlines in the Lufthansa Group.

“Our customers tell us that moving their luggage is one of the most difficult aspects of traveling. We listened to them and, thanks to our partnership with Airportr, we can offer you a new travel experience that starts at home. Together we show that travel can be easy, fast and transparent, no matter how our customers travel. This service is far superior to traditional baggage delivery services and contributes to our efforts for sustainable travel ”, said Tamur Goudarzi Pour, Chief Commercial Officer of Swiss.
