84 Swiss flight attendants stationed in China have now received the “blue letter”, so to speak. These have so far been stationed in Beijing and Shanghai. 29 employees had fixed-term contracts that cannot be extended. The remaining 55 “FAs” will be sent on unpaid leave until the end of 2021.

A spokesman told the Luzerner Zeitung that Swiss currently has no way of deploying the 84 employees concerned. It was emphasized that no dismissals were issued. However, the non-renewal of contracts and unpaid leave are almost the same.
