Numerous aviation jobs are in acute danger in Switzerland. The after-effects of Corona are likely to remain noticeable for a long time.

The corona crisis will probably haunt Swiss aviation for even longer. Because while planes still have to remain on the ground, the letters of termination fly straight into the hands of the now unemployed. For this reason, another wave of layoffs is foreseeable, as reported by aero.de.

Hard times are breaking for the aviation workforce. Swissport, SR Technics and Gategroup, among others, are positioning themselves for mass layoffs and want to correct their cost structure downwards. In order to counteract this, the parliament is planning to change the law - otherwise it would not be possible with the current regulations.
