Switzerland: Edelweiss abolishes compulsory corona vaccination

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The Swiss sister company Edelweiss Air is lifting the corona vaccination requirement for flying personnel. The carrier is of the opinion that this is no longer necessary due to the stabilization of the situation, especially since there have been no entry restrictions for crews at destinations with a stay on site since November 2022.

Swiss and Edelweiss Air, among others, introduced mandatory vaccinations for their employees during the corona pandemic. There have also been layoffs if employees did not want to be vaccinated. At least at Edelweiss Air, the obligation will end on April 20, 2023. However: We reserve the right to reintroduce them if the Covid-19 situation changes.
