For the second time in a row, the popular family day at Salzburg Airport - due to Corona - has to be canceled.

The airport very much regrets that the measures currently in force make it impossible to hold an event of this magnitude.
For more than three decades, the popular event took place year after year on December 24th under the motto “Waiting for the Christ Child” with numerous attractions in Amadeus Terminal 2 and on the airport apron. This year the airport has to cancel this event again. "We very much hope that the Family Day 2022, which is popular with children, parents and grandparents, can finally take place again as usual, ”said Alexander Klaus, press spokesman for Salzburg Airport.

The parish of Maxglan, a long-term partner of the airport on Family Day, will not miss the opportunity this year to pass on the light of peace as a sign of hope at Salzburg Airport. On December 24th, all interested parties and arriving passengers have the opportunity to pick up the peace light from Bethlehem from 10 a.m. to 15 p.m. at the counter in the check-in hall next to the information center.
