On Saturday, November 20, 2021, the population at Salzburg Airport can be vaccinated in a C-130 "Hercules" transport plane.

Infection cases are currently increasing rapidly, which is why the armed forces have made it their mission to be a strong partner in combating the Covid 19 pandemic. On Saturday from 10:00 am to 15:00 pm it will be possible to get a "stab" at Salzburg Airport directly in a "Hercules" belonging to the Air Force. This is intended to provide an additional incentive to motivate yourself to be vaccinated.

“Especially in times of crisis, the Austrians can rely on the 'Hercules' and the air forces. The possibility of being vaccinated directly in the 'Hercules' is an additional offer to fight the pandemic and get back to our normal lives. Vaccination remains the most important means of combating the pandemic, ”said Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner.

A C-19 "Hercules" was used for the first time in the Covid 130 pandemic on a flight from Paris to Vienna on February 2, 2020 with citizens who had flown out of China. In the course of the further course of the pandemic, 13 flights were completed and infected people receiving intensive care were flown home in a special container for medical evacuations.
