Six weeks after the comeback of the 737-8 fleet, Turkish Airlines is now also reactivating the Boeing 737-9.
The planes at Istanbul Airport spent more than two years without being used. The first machine with the registration TC-LYA completed a test flight on May 22nd, only to be returned to commercial service three days later. Since then, the carrier has been using the Max fleet again on regular flights. Accordingly, the airline currently has eleven Boeing 737-8s and only one 737-9 - another fifty planes have already been ordered from the manufacturer. That reports Swiss Aviation.
