TAP suspends flights to Zagreb

TAP Air Portugal is permanently suspending regular flight operations between Lisbon and Zagreb.

This means that there will be no flights between the two airports this summer. Passengers who have already booked tickets for a flight with the airline in the coming months have already been notified of the cancellation of their flights, as reported by the online portal Ex-Yu-Aviation. You will be offered alternative flight connections with other airlines. The Portuguese carrier had maintained service between the capitals three times a week and only resumed last year after a five-year hiatus. Both Airbus A320 family aircraft and Embraer E190 aircraft were used on the route.

TAP is just one of many airlines that are now flying less frequently to the Croatian capital. Air France recently canceled the planned second daily connection between Paris and Zagreb, which was supposed to be offered from July to September. Lufthansa has also postponed its second daily connection from Munich to Zagreb, which was originally scheduled to start on March 26, 2023, to July 2023. In addition, British Airways has also cut its flight schedule and is only flying to the airport on a back burner this summer. The reason is obvious: the airport management has announced that it will increase the fees at the start of the summer flight schedule. The airlines - or so it seems - are not amused.
