TAP Air Portugal and Lufthansa Technik AG have signed a five-year contract for digital support from Aviatar for the entire Airbus fleet.

The Portuguese airline will use Aviatar to digitally optimize the operation of its aircraft and thus benefit from cost savings: among the solutions used are Condition Monitoring, Event Analytics and Fleet Map. In addition, the airline will become a development partner for future solutions on the digital platform, according to the company.

"After a test phase, Aviatar has met and confirmed our expectations in terms of functionality, teamwork and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen and digitize our technical fleet support," said Mário Lobato de Faria, Chief Technical Officer of TAP Air Portugal. "We are therefore looking forward to benefiting from increased aircraft availability, paving the way for predictive maintenance and further cost savings, and maintaining a close, future-oriented relationship with our partner Lufthansa Technik."
