The Portuguese airline TAP is obviously trying desperately to get money. Flights to the United States of America and Brazil are currently available from 75 euros (one way).
The carrier earns absolutely nothing from these long-haul tariffs, but it should rather be about collecting as much money as possible. The company's financial position is considered very tense and the government has indicated that liquidation is an option. TAP will find it difficult to survive without government aid. The unions are resisting the restructuring plan, which is a condition for the disbursement of state aid. Competitor Ryanair has already announced a lawsuit.
