Nuremberg Airport is celebrating its tenth anniversary under the name “Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg”.

The renaming in 2014, initiated by the then Chairman of the Supervisory Board Markus Söder, led to a stronger identification of the region with the airport and increased its awareness and passenger numbers. Those responsible praised the naming as a symbol of quality and regional strength. The airport is seen as a key factor for tourism, the economy and mobility in Franconia and beyond.
