The Vegan Planet trade fair celebrates its tenth anniversary on November 16 and 17, 2024 at the Vienna Museum of Applied Arts (MAK). Located in the heart of Vienna's city center, the event offers comprehensive insights into the vegan and sustainable lifestyle.
More than 100 exhibitors present plant-based foods, fashion, cosmetics and sustainable household products. Visitors can also expect a varied supporting program with cooking demonstrations, lectures, yoga sessions and creative workshops.
To celebrate the anniversary, Austria's Health Minister Johannes Rauch will be showing in a cooking show how plant-based cuisine can be prepared in a variety of ways that are suitable for everyday use. A panel discussion will examine the role of vegan nutrition in top-level sport, with participants such as Julian Schütter (ski racer) and Andreas Vojta (athlete). The program will also include informative lectures on the health benefits of vegan nutrition, accompanied by tastings and samples of innovative products such as vegan Camembert and potato-based milk alternatives.
The fair is not only aimed at vegans, but at a broad audience who want to learn more about plant-based lifestyles. A new visitor record is expected, which underlines the success of the last ten years.
