The aircraft manufacturer Textron Aviation has reached an important milestone, because on January 13, 2023, machine number 3.000 of the Cessna Caravan series was delivered. The turboprop aircraft went to Azul Conecta, a subsidiary of Azul Airlines based at Jundiai Airport in São Paulo.

The delivery was duly celebrated by employees of the manufacturer and the airline at the Independence site. “This Grand Caravan EX will fly proudly across the Brazilian sky, connecting our 158 destinations, many of which are made possible by the aircraft's utility and flexibility,” said Flavio Costa, Azul's Chief Technical Officer and President of Azul Conecta. "As a long-time Textron Aviation customer with a fleet of over 25 Cessna aircraft, we are delighted to be a part of this important milestone."

The manufacturer is also in a celebratory mood. Lannie O'Bannion, Textron Aviation's senior vice president of sales and flight operations, said, “The versatility and reliability of the Cessna Caravan has made it the most popular aircraft in the utility turboprop category, with over 3.000 deliveries to date worldwide. I am grateful to customers like Azul Conecta who continue to rely on the Caravan family to get the job done, provide solutions and improve lives around the world.”
