The airline Thai Airways has decided to order 45 long-haul Boeing 787 aircraft. This means that the Americans have won the race, as Airbus was also recently vying for the order.
It was also announced that Thai Airways had secured options for up to 80 additional aircraft. According to information from the Reuters agency, the deal was said to have been finalized some time ago, as Boeing's backlog already contains a deal with a still anonymous customer for 45 Boeing 787s.
