Due to rising corona numbers, Thailand is restricting domestic air traffic. Flights between regions that are on the dark red list are prohibited from July 21, 2021. This emerges from an order from the civil aviation authority.

According to Notam, the following regions or provinces are affected: Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon, Chonburi, Ayutthaya, Chachoengsao, Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala and Songkhla. The ban was initially pronounced for 14 days and initially only affects domestic passenger flights.

Those connections that can still be made are then subject to a capacity restriction. The airlines are allowed to occupy a maximum of 50 percent of the seats. Only passengers traveling together are then allowed to sit together.

All flights still operated by domestic airlines have been arranged to ensure that the flights do not exceed 50% passenger capacity. However, the ruling stated that passengers traveling together were allowed to sit together.
