Tyrol: A special summer holiday in the heart of the Alps

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

After the long, cloudy winter, the anticipation of the sunny season is growing - have you already made your decision for your summer vacation?

An insider tip in the heart of the Alps is the Hall-Wattens holiday region. Away from mass tourism, visitors can expect natural side valleys, special places to discover and a hospitable ambience.

The Zirbenweg - a hiking pleasure on the adventure mountain Glungezer

Famous, popular and always an uplifting experience: the seven-kilometre-long Zirbenweg is a fascinating panoramic hiking trail at 2.000 meters above sea level. It runs from the mountain station of the Patscherkofelbahn to the Tulfeinalm near Tulfes. Due to the easy route, the Zirbenweg is a highlight for young and old and provides incomparable views of over 400 mountain peaks.

The mountain adventure world "Kugelwald am Glungezer" directly at the middle station Halsmarter fascinates with a variety of play options at 1.500 meters above sea level. Like on a roller coaster, the balls roll from tree to tree on tracks made of stone pine. There is also a low ropes course for climbing around at low altitudes in order to be able to explore the forest in an even more exciting way.

The idyllic streets of the old town of Hall in Tirol

You will find what is perhaps one of the most beautiful towns in Austria when you embark on a "journey of discovery" to the medieval town of Hall. The tasteful buildings in Hall's old town bear witness to its past as a prosperous city. Today you can experience culinary highlights in Hall in Tirol and the surrounding area in the sunny guest garden, in the traditional Tyrolean inn or in the exquisite gourmet restaurant.

Arriving with the “Nightjet in the mountains”

With the arrival variant of the modern ÖBB night train fleet, nothing stands in the way of the perfect summer holiday. The packages including train travel, the world package from komoot and the transfer from the train station with the Tyrolean train station shuttle directly to the accommodation can be booked from/to Hamburg, Düsseldorf or Amsterdam.
