Between September 19th and 30th, 2022, the Austrian Armed Forces will carry out special evacuation and reception exercises in cooperation with German aviation forces in the Lower Austria area. These are quick landings and operationally relevant rope techniques on the aircraft.

A total of around 120 soldiers with eight helicopters (2 OH-58 "Kiowa", 1 S-70 "Black Hawk" from Austria and 5 H145M from Germany) are taking part in this binational exercise. Especially on the 20th, 22nd and 27th of September there can be noise in the Tulln, Allentsteig and Wr. Neustadt (Großmittel) come.

“In order to keep your finger on the pulse, you need to constantly expand and adapt your own skills. At the two-week workshop of the Jagdkommando with their own helicopters and with German Bundeswehr aviation forces, precisely these skills are practiced. I wish all deployed forces an accident-free and horizon-broadening exercise,” said Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner (ÖVP).
