The Tyrolean capital Innsbruck wants to appeal to a different guest segment in the future. The plans are particularly aimed at longer stays. Karin Seiler, Managing Director of Innsbruck Tourismus, is of the opinion that the corona pandemic has led to a change in working and living habits.

The pandemic greatly accelerated digitization. Seiler is convinced that “teleworking”, “video conferencing” and “home office” would shape working life today and tomorrow. With tailor-made offers, Innsbruck can target all those who want to combine their vacation with their professional activity. “Our goal is to increase the average length of stay across all guest segments to 2,5 days. This is a remarkably demanding goal in city tourism, but it is quite realistic for Innsbruck, ”said Seiler.
