Croatian airline Trade Air is phasing out its last remaining Fokker 100 regional jet. This also affects the summer charter flights from Innsbruck Airport in Austria.

In recent years, Trade Air has flown from Tyrol on behalf of Idealtours, for example. The phasing out of the Fokker 100 means that the Croatian airline cannot provide any aircraft in this size class. So far it is completely open which operating carrier will carry out the summer charter from Innsbruck with which aircraft in the coming year.

On the part of Idealtours, however, they want to continue to offer holiday flights with machines stationed on site. However, it is not yet possible to name an operating carrier. In the most recent travel catalogue, it is expressly pointed out that the operating airline has not yet been determined. In any case, it will no longer be the Fokker 100 from Trade Air.

The 9A-BTE was also used in the summer of 2022 for ideal tours from Innsbruck, among other things. The regional jet is just over 30 years old. CH-Aviation.com reports, citing the carrier, that the machine was sold within Europe. In the summer of 2022, Trade Air caused a stir in Innsbruck, because due to a technical defect, the Fokker 100 make an unscheduled stopover in Zagreb. Subsequent flights were sometimes significantly delayed and also had one day an unnecessary bus trip from Innsbruck to Munich and back to the sequence.

Only recently, Trade Air has resumed the routes within Croatia, which were temporarily suspended in May 2022. However, they do not operate these themselves, but have commissioned Sprint Air with the operational implementation. Saab 340 aircraft are used.
