The Dutch airline Transavia wanted to start a non-stop connection between Brussels and Innsbruck last year. Due to the tough entry and quarantine regulations, the plan was postponed.
Now Transavia confirms once again that they want to take up the route, which is primarily aimed at winter sports enthusiasts. The start date was communicated by the Air France-KLM subsidiary as December 23, 2021.
For the time being, Boeing 737-800s will fly twice a week between Brussels and Innsbruck. The machine is stationed neither in Belgium nor in Tyrol, but in Amsterdam-Schiphol. As part of W-Patterns, the flight will then take place between Innsbruck and the capital of Belgium.
