On Saturday, December 4, 2023, Lufthansa flight LH575 en route from Cape Town to Munich had to make an unscheduled landing in Luanda (Angola). The Airbus A350-900 with the registration D-AIXE is affected.

The cockpit crew of the long-haul aircraft identified technical problems in the area of the left engine over Angolan territory. Therefore, it was decided to initiate the descent and landed unscheduled at Luanda Airport. Due to a lack of spare parts available on site, the onward flight takes a few days.
