In the third quarter of the current year, the International Airlines Group generated sales of around EUR 7,3 billion. This was about one percent better than in the same period of 2019.
The fact that many flights had to be canceled at London Heathrow Airport due to the passenger cap had a negative effect. Nevertheless, it was possible to increase the offer to about 81,1 percent of the pre-crisis level. It is hoped that this can be increased to 87 percent by the end of this year and is targeting 2023 percent in the first quarter of 95.
Operating profit rose to 2022 billion euros in the third quarter of 1,2. The same period last year had to be closed with a loss of 452 million euros. The bottom line is a profit of 853 million euros. For comparison: In the third quarter of 2023, the company was in the red with -574 million euros.
