With effect from June 1, 2022, Turkey has relaxed the entry requirements. The obligation to submit negative corona tests is no longer applicable. According to a statement from the Turkish Ministry of Health, this applies to land, sea and air routes. In the past, there were differences in the means of transport.

What is also new is that the mask requirement has largely been abolished. Even in public transport, which includes commercial aircraft, mouth and nose protection no longer has to be worn. Masks are only compulsory in hospitals and comparable healthcare facilities.

For holidaymakers in Turkey, the easing means that you can enter the country again without corona-related conditions. This step does not come as a surprise, because the Bosphorus state is dependent on every visitor due to the de facto absence of tourists from Russia and Ukraine. Currently driving one downright cheap strategy, in order to boost demand in the Germany-Austria-Switzerland region, among others. Some airlines, including, for example Corendon and SunExpress have already increased their capacity.
